Day 17...Day of Rest

Waking up to still being exhausted, we decided to just chill and take it easy. Today is a bank holiday so all shops and stores are closed. Since resturaunts are open we went and had lunch. Afterwards came back and have been hanging out. As to why we are going to cut our stay here in Schliersee by one day and go into Munich a day early. We have become a little bored here.

The MTV European Music Awards are tonight here in Munich, well lets say the MTV does a better job here in Europe than they do in the states. However, still the same cheesy format as ours, but nothing is censored.
One of the best parts of the entire show, Amy Winohouse received and award for being whatever. She walks up to the stage and the crowd is cheering, she is dressed like she always is but with a beehive wig on. She fiddles with the curls that hanging down staring at the audience with a blank stare, while the audience continues to cheer on. Next thing you know, she grabs her award and walks off stage with out saying a word. She was one of the performers that night, and you could not understand a word she was saying. Either she was drunk or she just sucks ass as a performed. Oh wait, she is both, lol lol.
I did like there segment on upcoming artist, some great bands that we heard and of course wrote down so that we can check them out once we get back. My favorite performance was Mika, he performed Grace Kelly. I loved that song. If you have not heard of him, check him out. The states have been playing his song Relax, it hit about two months ago. I have only heard it on satellite radio so I am not sure they are playing it on public radio. I first heard about him several months ago through my friend Jerome. Snoop Dog was the host of the show, yeah it was really bad. I like his music, but he sucks as a host.

We have been watching and reading the news out the earthquake in San Jose. We were not there when it happened, yet we came very much scared for what we will come home to as well as our family and friends, is all ok with them. Sucks being so far away and no control. We have been staying in touch with Alx's sister and our friend Dan on the goings on of what is going on. Keeping our fingers crossed that is the worst, but the news reports of what could happen are not all that comforting. Will keep you posted as I know more.
