Down the street...

Today, Riley and I walked down the Guadalupe Creek Trail, amazing that so much money has gone into this rebuild and yet, not so many were on the trail. Granted today was a weekday, but what do the weekends look like? We parked at Coleman Ave, and walked just passed Hedding and then turned around, walked down through downtown, stopping just past Adobe. Loved it, next time will have to run down the trail and check it out. This trail runs 4.7 miles of discontinous trails.

Came across a RIP cross for Joey A. Draper. I have googled the name, and nothing, I am curious to who this person was and what happened.

Continuing down the trail, did you know that down town San Jose flooded in 1995 by the Guadalupe River? Yeah me neither, though I did move to SJ in 1996. An informative platform along the trail gave information and past floods, very interesting.

There is a generation pond with six braided trails, repesenting the generations and the river that has helped make up San Jose to what it is today. The rocks in the pond have names of local children in their native language.

Lastly, as we approached Adobe, took a couple of pictures at the Veterans Memorial. Never really looked and spent time at the memorial. This was the same memorial that was vandalized last year. I end this blog, to the troops that are fighting and surviving a war that has split America.
