As we people watched, small children, 7 to 9 years old just walk the streets by themselves to school. This was quite interesting and not really a big deal here as there are cops everywhere.
After breakfast we started our day with the L'Open Tour. A double decker bus that takes you most of the attractions around Paris, depedning on what line you take. We took the Grand Paris tour. We started at the Paris Opera house,
Through the Latin Quarter down the Sienne River. Coming up to Notre Dame.
Next the Lourve. This place is so big, that as we walked through the museum we may have only touched a quarter of it. After 14621 steps (yes Alx tracked it), four hours and several wrong turns, we were quite satisfied with what we accomplished.
Then down to the Eiffel Tower (pronounced as e-fel)
Next Champs d' Elysse (the fashion avenue) ending with the Arch de Triumph
We ended the day with walking around and had dinner with Jerome and then headed home. Oh, and guess what...public transit system is on strike Thursday both the subway and bus systems at a complete standstill. Oh well, just more walking. And yes we also got lost again, luckily this older lady stopped and asked if we needed help, as we are holding out our map trying to find out which way to go. She was so kind to point us in the right direction.
