Day one...

We left Monday morning out of SFO 10:35 am, arrived in JFK 7 pm leaving for Paris at 9:35 pm. After sitting on the tarmac for what seemed an eternity we take off a little after 10 am.

The last remaming hours of the flight, was OMG way to long. I just wanted the flight over with and for us to be on the ground. 13 hrs and 25 minutes was our trip on top of the 2 hr and 30 min layover in New York.

We landed in Cabo Mexico at 10:55 am Tues, 16 Oct, oh wait I meant Paris Charles de Gual. Ok, ewww!!!! Once you land you park out on the tarmac and you are shuttled off to a small room, well it is the stair well to the second floor to customs. I expected a nicer airport like JFK or SFO for that matter. When SJC (San Jose Airport is better, you know that is bad. Got through customs, the fastest we have ever cleared customs. The guy did not really look at my passport, he could have at least stamped it.

Met Jerome outside of baggage claim, my friend who lives in Paris. Great to finally put a face and name with a real live person. Finally, we have been chatting online for over a year now.

First we came to drop our bags off at the apartment that we rented. I knew it was going to be small but the entire apartment fits inside my patio with space to spare. I was not happy at first, but it is growing on me. Plus you should see the cute cobblestone streets, cafe's, patisseries, and bakeries. The architecture is phenomenal everthing I pictured it would be. My first disappointment was The Moulin Rouge, I vistioned the cabaret to be on a hill with shrubbery vines covering it with the old wood style windmill on top. I know the Moulin Rouge in the movie is totally hollywood, but still almost what I expected. The Moulin Rouse is in the middle of sex shops and theaters in the heart of the red light distict.

We headed through the streets of Paris and had lunch and a cafe and I tried froie gras. Guess what, I liked it, Alx would not even try it. We went with Jerome to his aparment and then headed out on our own. Not even around the block, we got lost and also remembered that I have lost the code # for the security gate So we headed back to Jeromes and made a few calls. Then headed back to our apartment. Guess what? got lost again. Finally found our apartment and the owner came to check on us. The French are very nice despite the rumors.

We are exhausted and are calling it early tonight. Tomorrow will be a better time and we will have more energy.

Till next time, I promise to add pics for the blog add.

Take care all
